Ronbus Ripple

Ronbus Ripple Update – It’s Legal Baby!

We are excited to announce that we have received written confirmation that the production model Ripple.R1.14 is PBCoR 0.43 Certified. The release plan for the production Ripple.R1.14 is listed below.

Thanks for your continued support,
Lisa & Dong

What is the new USAP PBCoR certification?
The new PBCoR (Paddle-Ball Coefficient of Restitution) test was created by the USAP to establish a measurable ceiling for power. All paddles used in USAP sanctioned competitions must have PBCoR value less than 0.43 by May 1, 2026. Additionally, they must carry the PBCoR 0.43 Certified stamp by then.

We plan to release the production Ripple.R1.14 with the new USAP PBCoR 0.43 Certified stamp by late January or early February. The only difference between the releases is the new USAP stamp.

What changed between the beta and production Ripple.R1.14?
The beta Ripple.R1.14 is USAP approved and has a PBCoR test result below 0.43. These are good for sanctioned competition until May 1, 2026. The production Ripple.R1.14 fixed the loose edge guard issue and minimized manufacturing variance. It is USAP approved and PBCoR 0.43 Certified. The Connect member only release this Friday will not have the new USAP stamp. The general release in late January or early February will have the new USAP stamp.

What about the Ripple.R2.14?
We are still working with USAP on PBCoR 0.43 Certification for the Ripple.R2.14. We will make an announcement when written confirmation is received.
